Fall Guy

It was late last evening when my wheels started turning

And the fire was burning down to coals

And I was drinking when I should have been sleeping

And I shouldn’t have been thinking alone

And I thought

You’re the winter and I’m a fall guy

And you make me so angry when you’re so wrong

And I’m right where I need to be

For you this is not a need

And I know

Now I’m wondering should I tell you or keep it to myself

Hope the feeling is fleeting and it melts like the winter snow

And I can see that you’re sleeping and you don’t know I’m leaving baby

But I want you to know…

That I think

You’re the winter and I’m a fall guy

And you make me so angry when you’re so wrong

And I’m right where I need to be

For you this is not a need

And I know

But to break this addiction, well I’ve gotta run on

And to leave you here lonely, well I know it’s wrong

And I’d tell you I’m sorry but I’m already gone

And I think

You’re the winter and I’m a fall guy

And you make me so angry when you’re so wrong

And I’m right where I need to be

For you this is not a need

And I know, I know, I know, I know that

You’re the winter and I’m a fall guy

And you make me so angry when you’re so wrong

And I’m right where I need to be

For you this is not a need

And I know
